Revit stores the location of the central file, and if opened and saved by another member at a different location, the central file is updated.
Verify that all members for the project are mapped to the central file in the same manner. As a best practice all members should create new local files daily. In this scenario, the project member should create a new local file. The central file was rolled back to a previous backup version. The central file had many changes invalidating the local file. The local file is outdated or was not synchronized for a period. If the issue is isolated to one member’s local file, it may no longer be compatible with the central file. Typical causes of this include: Verify if other members can synchronize with central. If the new local file can synchronize with central, file permissions or network settings can be ruled out as the issue. Highlight the central file, verify that Create New Local is checked, and open the central file creating a new local file. With the new local file open navigate to Collaborate > Synchronize with Central. Verify that a new local file can synchronize with central by navigating to the central file location. To lock a file with Box Sync, right-click the file, then click Box Sync > Lock. It’s a good idea to lock a file before editing it to prevent others from editing it simultaneously. If more than one person edits a file at the same time, a file conflict can occur, causing content to be saved under similar but different filenames. Avoid moving these shared folders to other locations. This is the top level of the Box Sync desktop folder. Box collaboration folders that you do not own are displayed in the root directory of your Box account. Consider dividing the data into subfolders and enable syncing only for certain ones.
Also, syncing may take longer than you expect. When adding GB of data to a synced folder, keep in mind that some computers, like laptops, may not have the disk space to hold the data.
